Welcome to Mississippi (MU State) Kappa Kappa Iota’s website. MU State is one of twenty-one state chapters of the National Kappa Kappa Iota educators’ organization! The purpose of this organization is to promote the advancement of education by providing an effective network for the exchange of education and teaching practices by educators. Kappa Kappa Iota has the distinction of being the oldest organization for educators in the United States with emphasis on philanthropy, professional development, networking and scholarships.

MU STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SPRING MEETING

Time: 10:30 am -1:00 pm
The Mu State Executive Committee Spring Meeting includes Mu State Officers, State Committee Chairs, Past State Presidents and Local Chapter Presidents. Mu State Nominating Committee (Olivia Sansing-chair, Kathy Shappley, and Gale Taylor) is to report a slate of proposed nominees for 2026-2027 Mu State Officers, finalize plans and state reports for Mu State Convention.
Buffet lunch will be Dutch treat ($15 per person).
